A lot of us live either in the past or in the future but rarely do we live in the present. We either look back in pity at how our past turned out or dream of how royal our future is going to be. By doing so, we forget to live in the moment. We forget that our actions right now build our future and our actions right now is vital for our happiness. Having a poor past is not an excuse for living in the past. Your past was an experience to learn from, not a life sentence of imprisonment. Similarly, your future is never really going to be as good as you want it to be if you don’t work on it right now.
We do not seem to realise the importance of the moment we are in right now. Your past does not define your future and neither do your dreams. This moment defines your future, the choices you make at this moment define your future and if you’re sat victimizing yourself for your past or waiting for the right moment to work on your future, I am sorry, but you’ll never really live life to the fullest. Life is never going to be kind to you, you just have to deal with it and let yourself grow. If you are waiting for the right moment to start working on your future, believe me when I say that the right moment is right now. Right now is the most important time for your future. Right now is what’s going to define who you end up becoming. Right now is the most important time in your life.
Living in the moment, away from the pain of the past and delusion of the future will help us live our life to the fullest and it is also the ultimate source of happiness. This is because the present is a combination of your experience of the pain of your past and the dream you wish to conquer in the future. There was never a better moment to start working on yourself and there never will be a better one. Every moment you waste is a choice you make in the wrong direction. Eventually, a time will come when it’s too late for you to control your life and when that time does arrive, you’ll look back and wish you had acted on your dreams.
